Wear N’ Tear is an Anglo-Swedish rock band born in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne, forged in the spirit of the golden age of classic radio rock, glam, and hair metal. With roots firmly planted in the high-octane sound of the ’80s, the band quickly carved out their place in the local scene
The summer of 1991 marked a milestone with the release of their self-titled debut EP, capturing the raw energy and anthemic hooks that defined their sound.
Fast forward to 2024—now spanning two continents, with members based in both the UK and the USA—Wear N’ Tear began a bold new chapter. Channeling the spirit of their early days while embracing a modern rock aesthetic, they returned to the studio to breathe new life into their legacy.
The result is EVOLVED—a remastered and reimagined take on their original EP, blending the grit and glamour of the late ‘80s with a sleek, contemporary edge.Hot on its heels is the release of their new single, She’s Got a Dream, a defiant, hook-driven anthem that bridges generations of rock.
